The five-month-old son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, baby Archie Harrison, had his first official royal tour experience in South Africa. His parents presented him in public when they went to visit Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe at their residence in Cape Town.
And while most people thought that Archie was his father's spitting image, some fans on Instagram could not help but remark that the little boy actually resembled Duchess Meghan's estranged father, Thomas Markle. One follower said that Archie had the same rounded face and eyes as his grandfather.
Thomas has yet to meet his royal grandson after being cut off by his daughter because of his publicity stunt just before her wedding to Prince Harry. In an interview with Daily Mail, he slammed his daughter and her husband for not even sending him a photo of Archie.
"You can't portray yourself as being charitable and bringing people together and then ghost your own father and your entire family," Thomas said. "Their treatment of me has left a lot to be desired."
Meanwhile, some fans were also quick to point out that Archie seems to have a lazy eye. Another fan said that the baby "looks cross-eyed" and that this should be checked out and corrected as soon as possible.
Archie was in his mother's arms the whole time during the meet with the archbishop and his daughter. The baby appeared to be in a good mood as he was cooing and making noises while the adults talked. At one point, little Archie let out a tiny giggle when Duchess Meghan told Thandeka that Archie is such a flirt.
"I think he knows exactly what is going on," Prince Harry said in the video. "You like me best, yes?" Thandeka said, addressing the baby, to which Duchess Meghan smiled and also asked her son, "Oh, you like the ladies better, yeah?"
Archbishop Tutu gifted Prince Harry a photo of his Princess Diana during her visit to Cape Town. He also gave Archie some classic children's books that were written by members of the cleric, along with songbook for children.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry will be leaving his wife and child in Cape Town for a few days to go to Botswana, Angola and other regions in South Africa. Duchess Meghan will stay in Cape Town and she will be expected to visit women's centers. It's unclear if Archie will make another public outing while his father is away but the Sussex family will meet up again on Oct. 1 in Johannesburg.
