The longest-running television series has now started its course. With Ian McShane's compelling role during the premiere, fans are looking forward to witnessing more guest stars in the new season.

Modern Family star Ariel Winter will also be joining the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 21 in its upcoming episode. It is said to focus on victims who have forgotten the actual events of their case.

While the first two episodes of the season are already "treats" for the viewers given the big names on the guest star roster, reports have learned that there will be more names to be dropped in the future episodes.

Recently, TV Line has learned that The Masked Singer contestant and comedian star, Margaret Cho will be joining the roster as well. She will play the role of a massage-parlor manager who got involved in a sex-trafficking operation.

It is unclear yet whether she spearheads the operation or she does not have knowledge about it. Whatever the case though, she will cross paths with Olivia Benson in the episode titled, Counselor, It's Chinatown.

There is no actual release date yet for the episode. But, it is slated for a November release, as per Cartermatt.

The publication asserted that this episode might be an inspiration to the Robert Kraft prostitution scandal that erupted earlier this year. While no confirmation has been made about the assertion, it is possible.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit creates and produces its episodes based on real-life headlines and cases. So, it will not be surprising if the Margaret Cho-episode will be based on the said scandal.

It is also worth noting that Olivia Benson is now the Captain of the crew. After obtaining her unofficial promotion during the premiere, Country Living contends that the future cases will be much more challenging, especially for Benson.

Alongside the new Captain, the new Assistant District Attorney has been also named in the first episode titled, I'm Going To Make You A Star. Unsurprisingly, the position has been given to detective Carisi. However, returning showrunner, Warren Leight reiterated that Season 21 is a season of change. Therefore, fans should not expect the characters to stand in the same position when the season wraps up.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 21 Episode 2 titled, The Darkest Journey Home, will air on October 3, on NBC.
