Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are tying the knot next year. Being the grandmother of the to-be bride, the public is expecting Queen Elizabeth to attend the ceremony. However, her presence may not be completely confirmed yet.

According to royal expert Ingrid Seward, the only way for Queen Elizabeth to attend Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s wedding is if it will be held in London. At the age of 93, Her Majesty is not in the perfect condition to travel overseas. Princess Beatrice’s grandfather Prince Philip is 98 years old; it is safe to say that he will also not be attending the wedding if held outside London.

While it was a no brainer for Prince William and Prince Harry to get married in London, Princess Beatrice’s fiancé is from Italy, and there is a chance that the couple may consider tying the knot there. However, the Duke of Sussex’s then-fiancee, Meghan Markle, is from Los Angeles, California, but they got married in London. So, that may be the case for Prince Andrew’s daughter and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi as well.

Even though the Queen still goes around and does her obligations, she has passed on some of the duties and distributed the royal tours to the younger members of the royal family. Due to their advanced age, it is quite impossible for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip to travel to Italy.

There are no new details about Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s upcoming nuptials as of this writing. The venue and date are still unknown. The only thing that is confirmed is that they are getting married next year.

Meanwhile, a recent report shared that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding will change the dynamic of the royal family. Since the multi-millionaire property developer already has a son from his previous relationship, Queen Elizabeth will be welcoming not only one but two new members to the family.

After tying the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Beatrice will become a stepmom to the former’s two-year-old son, Christopher "Wolfie" Woolf Mapelli Mozzi. Joe Little, the managing editor of Majesty magazine, said that, since the pair had been friends way before they got engaged, it is possible that things will not be that awkward.

"I'm sure on occasions when there is a gathering of the York family, Beatrice's stepson will quite possibly be included," he shared. "However, we haven't seen much of Camilla's children or grandchildren, apart from when she married Prince Charles."
