The Bold Type Season 4 will surely hit the small screens after Freeform renews the show after three seasons. Lead stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, and Meghann Fahy made the big announcement, which also surprised them, at the previous Disney upfront presentation in New York City. So, what will happen to Jane, Kat, and Sutton when they return to the small screens?
While on the stage, Stevens, Dee, and Fahy were reading the teleprompter, saying they portray characters that are determined to succeed in the New York fashion media business. As they play the roles of Jane, Kat, and Sutton, they all balance their careers, friendship, and love every day.
They also talked about the importance of the series to their lives because regardless of who they are, they are all trying to continue their journey and fix all the problems they have. "And we are so excited to be coming back for Season 4! Here's to more bold stories, friendship and a whole lot of rosé," they announced. This was the only time they found out the show's renewal that didn't only surprise fans but also them.
Just like what happened in Seasons 2 and 3, The Bold Type Season 4 will have a new showrunner with Wendy Straker Hauser. It will continue to navigate the life of Joanna Coles, per Deadline. She was the first person to hold the position of chief content officer for Hearst Magazines and the former editor in chief of Cosmopolitan magazine.
In the show, it will continuously tackle the real-world issues the Scarlet Magazine employees face on day to day basis. Aside from Stevens, Dee, and Fahy, Melora Hardin, Sam Page, Matt Ward, and Stephen Conrad Moore will also return to reprise their roles.
Although it has been a while since the new season was announced, Freeform has yet to reveal when The Bold Type Season 4 will officially be out. Bustle noted its release schedule is also getting unpredictable season after season, but fans might not wait for a year for it.
The first season premiered on June 20, 2017, while the second installment was out around the same time, on June 12, 2018. It should have established a regular timeline until the third season was released two months earlier than expected, on April 9, 2019.
So, when The Bold Type Season 4 may possibly release? It all depends on how long the filming and editing will take. The new season may be out as soon as spring 2020. It is also probable that it will be later than that. By the looks of it, fans have to wait for Freeform's official announcement about its release date.
