It's been 13 years since fans last saw Teen Titans on Cartoon Network. After airing five seasons on the cable channel, the production decided to cancel the show for various reasons. As per reports, there are various aspects to look at when dealing with the cancellation of the hit DC animated series.

One of the most apparent reasons behind was that the story that has been pitched for Season 6 contradicts the original dynamic. Fans were surprised about the decision. As a result, they made several campaigns to urge the network and the production for the continuation of Teen Titans.

No updates have been heard since then from the heads and bosses of the show. The only information that circulates the media was about the fans' eagerness to witness a new season.

A lot of speculations and theories were made. But, after witnessing Teen Titans: Trouble In Tokyo, one thing was deduced: the film served as the conclusion for the 2003 hit animated series.

Even so, fans have remained positive and hopeful for Teen Titans Season 6. This is why when Inverse asserted that it is possible to happen after Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans performed well on big screens, many have rejoiced.

According to the publication, reports previously claimed that, if the crossover film will garner outstanding viewership records once it premieres, the original series will then continue its long-awaited sixth season.

Just a few weeks ago, Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans finally premiered. It obtained positive feedback and praise from various critics.

Seeing the original crew in the current timeline of the Teen Titans Go!'s course made the movie even more compelling. However, the ending seemingly closed the doors for Teen Titans Season 6 to happen. So, eventually, fans started to lose hope for the original show to return.

A few weeks later, Teen Titans Go! continued its fifth season course on Cartoon Network. Four new episodes have been released following the events of Teen Titans Go! vs. Teen Titans. And there will be two new more before it concludes.

Today, all eyes are on the sequel series and its possibility of receiving a renewal for a sixth season. This is very likely to happen, considering how the crossover film succeeded.

On the other hand, fans have now seemingly closed the doors for Teen Titans Season 6. It looks like that the original crew will now be only seen on crossovers specials.
