Chicago P.D. Season 7 has introduced Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and the rest of the gang's new nemesis, Darius Walker (Michael Beach). Although he is dubbed to be this season's main antagonist, there is something about him that makes him different from the rest. Will he be the best big bad the show will have?

Instead of a villain, it looks like Walker is more of a vigilante. He has an agenda that he wants to do, and he is satisfied with what he is doing. He is a drug kingpin, but he is not keeping everything for himself. He is giving to his local black community and working to raise the education system to let other people have a good future.

Walker is still breaking the law by his illegal ways, but in his mind, he is doing it for a good cause. He believes Chicago is now better because he is in it. However, other people, especially law enforcement, are having a hard time understanding it.

According to CarterMatt, the big question of Chicago P.D. Season 7 today is if the Intelligence Unit can accept Darius' activities. Walker already tried to talk to Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins). However, his actions only lead up to a divided unit regarding what they should do about him. By the looks of it, he is trying to show that if he leaves, the next kingpin can be eviler than him, and no one will help the community.

Walker is confident that he is the best guy that can help the city's preservation and its people. Voight seems to be convinced that Walker is the lesser evil. So, he decides to make a deal with him to take down other high-profile criminals in the city. The interim superintendent agrees, but with the condition of plausible deniability.

These things may work out very well for Voight and the Intelligence Unit in Chicago P.D. Season 7, but it may also turn out for the worse. It looks like Walker is not the type who will let anyone use him as a puppet. Voight, on the other hand, is known for being a difficult man to get along with.

If Voight will handle Walker, there is a possibility that fans will often see him lose his temper several times. Although he is doing a lot of good cause for the community, it cannot be denied that he is still selling drugs in the city. Chicago P.D. Season 7 airs every Thursday on NBC.
