Talent transcends agencies and labels, and TWICE recently earned the admiration of SM Entertainment's top choreographer Mihawk Back after he saw their Feel Special dance practice video on YouTube.
In fact, the choreographer was so impressed that he even shared clips of the video on Instagram Stories and inserted comments about TWICE's choreography. TWICE is the top girl group managed by JYP Entertainment, All Kpop reported.
"Saw this on Youtube by chance... Wa... they did really well.....," Mihawk Back posted on his social media account, showing members Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu executing the complicated dance steps in perfect synchronicity.
Mihawk Back has established his career in the dance industry for choreographing powerful and complicated dance routines for SM idol groups like TVXQ, Super Junior and EXO. He is also part of the BeatBurger dance crew and teaches at 1 Million Dance Studio.
TWICE made their comeback via their eighth mini-album Feel Special without their member Mina, who is focusing on her mental health for the duration of the promotions. The group is promoting for the first time as an eight-member group and are steadily appearing in music shows to perform their comeback track.
Also, TWICE took home their second win for Feel Special on M! Countdown. Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu bested AKMU for How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love to take the top prize, Soompi reported.
TWICE scored 8,815 compared to AKMU's comeback, which raked in 4,880 points. M! Countdown is TWICE's second victory for Feel Special after they capped their first victory in MBC's Show Champions.
In an emotional speech to accept the award, the members took turns dedicating the award to their fans and their co-member Mina. While they said that Mina was not present to promote with them for the album, they still share the award with her and recognize her hard work in recording for the album.
TWICE is set to release its first YouTube Original Series, which will center around their recent Twicelights North American tour. The series will show behind the scenes footage of the members as they prepare for the concert series as well as the challenges they have to face amid their global success. The series is also expected to focus on the reason Mina has to take a break from promotions because of her anxiety.
