Meredith will continue with her court-ordered community service but she will still function as a doctor from afar. From her makeshift clinic to Grey's Sloan Memorial Hospital, Mer is back at work in Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 3 but only via video chat. Well, that's a start.

In the upcoming Episode 3, a patient of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) returns to Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital. She demands Jo to get the Harper Avery awardee to check on her. The problem is, Mer can't step foot at the OR because Bailey (Chandra Wilson) fired her for committing insurance fraud by falsifying a medical chart. Currently, her doctor is picking trash in the street.

Jo then suggests to Bailey a way on how Meredith treats her patient without being at the hospital. A win-win for the patient and Bailey. A teaser for Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 3 shows Mer joining her fellow surgeon at the operating room via a video call.

Still, the synopsis for Episode 3 hinted that Mer tiptoes the line of the protocol as she helps Jo with a difficult procedure, possibly of the patient who is looking for her. Bailey is most likely making it hard for Mer to do whatever she wants as she helps in the surgery.

Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Officer of the Fox Foundation, Dr. Tom Koracick (Greg Germann), will make things challenging for Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd). This is not surprising after Teddy (Kim Raver) chose Owen over Koracick, not to mention the incident in the previous season when Owen inadvertently shocked Koracick's sensitive part.

Elsewhere, Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 3, titled "Reunited," is also the episode where Charmed actress Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs will appear. They will portray the sisters of a patient who is brain dead after falling into a construction site.

It looks like Haylee and Heidi Parker's sister will be brought to the hospital where Dr. Webber (James Pickens Jr.) and Alex (Justin Chambers) are currently working. In the teaser, Haylee and Heidi are excited to see each other again then Webber tells them to pull themselves together. Webber could be telling the ladies that they need to make a decision on whether or not they will pull the plug on their other sister.

"He sounds like mom," Combs' character said. "Right," Milano's character added.

Meanwhile, Jackson's new romance with firefighter Vic is getting serious. The Station 19 firefighter and Jackson are seen teasing each other in Episode 3 trailer. Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 3 is scheduled to air on October 10.
