Grand Hotel Season 2 is canceled by its home network, ABC, for good. No further information has been disclosed to the public concerning the unfortunate news.

The cancellation itself is already bad news for the fans. But, what makes it more saddening and "infuriating" is the fact that the network did not give any valid reason for its discontinuation. Not to mention, the finale left the fans hanging because of its huge cliffhanger.

Variety has learned exclusively that ABC "pulled the plug" on the show after its pilot season. While the show has been received "well" by fans and critics, the network seemingly canceled Grand Hotel for no valid reason.

The reports also showed the series' performance in its first run. Based on figures, it garnered over 2.8 million viewers per episode. It has also become ABC's ninth-best series material among all the summertime offerings.

Being in ninth place is not very promising. Nevertheless, it still outperformed a few ABC's long-time series offerings like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and What Would You Do? These notions upset the fans even more.

While fans are flustered and confused, series executive producer Brian Tanen remains positive and hopeful for Grand Hotel Season 2. He believes that other platforms and networks outside ABC's vicinity will allow the show to prove itself further.

In an interview with TV Line, Brian Tanen discussed the "epic" cliffhanger scenes in the finale of the first season. As fans would recall, Santiago Mendoza has been shot after learning the truth behind Jason's paternity.

Many fans thought that he would already reveal who shot Santiago or even if he died in the course. Surprisingly, he did not unveil these details. Instead, he shared that he won't be revealing these things given that there are other networks where Grand Hotel Season 2 may continue the existing plot

He also shared that they already have plans for the second season. While revelations are in talks, he just teased that there are a handful of suspects to look upon. The possible Season 2 will focus on this aspect as the characters will find ways to get justice for Santiago.

Cartermatt also shares the same sentiments as the publication encourages the fans to never give up "hope." The scoop also reiterated that Brian Tanen is, currently, finding Grand Hotel Season 2 a new home.

With these things at hand, many are now looking forward to the show's future movements in other networks and platforms. While there are no confirmations yet, fans are convinced that the show will continue to happen in the future.
