It seems that BTS V has earned another international celebrity fan, and its someone he also admires. American artist Conan Gray recently gave V a shoutout on Twitter, and ARMYs can't help but ask for a collab.

According to a report by All Kpop, the Twitter interaction was sparked by Conan Gray when he posted a clip of a BTS interview wherein the members were asked which artists inspire them now. While other members picked Halsey, Billie Eilish, Little Nas X, Chance the Rapper, and Labrinth and Gavin James, BTS V, also known by his real name Kim Taehyung, picked Conan Gray for his celebrity inspiration.

Posting the interview clip, Conan Gray made his own shoutout by tagging BTS' Twitter account. "I'M STUNNED @BTS_twt I LOVE Y'ALL can i be your backup singer," he posted.

This sparked an immediate reaction from global ARMYs who were closely monitoring Twitterverse. Many of the fans asked for collaboration between Conan Gray and BTS while there were those who expressed excitement if the American artist would collab with V himself.

As one of the biggest KPop acts in the world with the strong support of their worldwide BTS ARMY, BTS has collaborated with multiple international artists since they broke into the global scene. Members have worked with international acts as an entire unit and as solo artists, and the list includes The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Arcades, Fall Out Boy, among others.

A collaboration between Kim Taehyung and Conan Gray will not come as a shock if it happens because V is well versed in the English language and will have no trouble working on an English/Korean single. As a matter of fact, V wrote, performed, and produced his first English track Winter Bear only recently.

Winter Bear also comes with its own MV that V starred in and directed, showcasing his multi-faceted artistry. Fans believe that a collaboration between Kim Taehyung and Conan Gray would work well because the American artist is also known for his hands-on approach in all aspects of his music. Most of his MVs have also been written and directed personally.

While fans ship for a BTS V and Conan Gray collaboration, BTS has assured that they are working steadily to prepare for their next collaboration. In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, members all agreed that they count Drake as their dream collaborator. They even extended an invitation for the Canadian rapper to visit Korea and professed their love for the Toronto Raptors NBA team.
