Charlie St. George is among the new characters in the previous season of 13 Reasons Why and has fewer screen time. That is about to change in the upcoming 13 Reasons Why Season 4.

Cameras have started rolling for the fourth and final season of the show and speculations have been coming in on what will happen to the characters in the final season of the Netflix drama. Tyler Barnhardt has shared some details on what fans may expect from his character, Charlie St. George.

In the past season, Charlie is a sophomore at Liberty High School, where the other characters are seniors. He is quiet but romantic and works at the local movie theatre with Jessica (Alisha Boe). Charlie is also an athlete who usually hangs out with football players, such as Monty (Timothy Granaderos) and Luke (Austin Aaron), who he looks up to as they are his seniors.

Barnhardt said viewers would learn more about Charlie in 13 Reasons Why Season 4, most likely through a backstory of the character. The actor revealed that he almost cried when series creator Brian Yorkey recently told him on what is about to happen to his character in Season 4.

"I mean, we know how Season three ends, right?" he teased.

Barnhardt is referring to how Charlie helped Clay (Dylan Minnette), Ani (Grace Saif), and others in framing his friend Monty (Timothy Granaderos) for Bryce's (Justin Prentice) murder. He put a tape that Bryce made for Jessica in Monty's locker to protect Alex (Miles Heizer).

Charlie is a good guy, and this would probably shine in Season 4. He most likely reveals the truth of why he framed Monty. But his possible action will not go with any consequences. He, along with others, may face punishment for hiding the truth to the authorities about Bryce's murder.

Meanwhile, Barnhardt also confirmed that Bryce and Monty are returning in Season 4. He revealed to Elite Daily that he, along with Granaderos, Prentice, and Ross Butler (Zach), are sharing the same house while filming the final season.

He added that 13 Reasons Why have been known in bringing past characters back like Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) in Season 2. He believed that it will still happen with Bryce and Monty.

Viewers may recall that in Season 3, both characters died. Bryce was killed by Alex while Monty died in prison while being incarcerated for the latter's murder that he did not commit.

The cast and crew of 13 Reasons Why Season 4 started production in August. Netflix has yet to announce the premiere date for the fourth Instalment. 13 Reasons Why Season 4 is expected to hit the small screen in summer 2020.
