There was allegedly a simple but very traditional thing that Prince Philip couldn't get on board in his marriage to Queen Elizabeth. The Duke of Edinburgh, who has been with Her Majesty for 70 years, reportedly did not like having tea, Queen Elizabeth's favorite drink.

According to reports, Prince Philip would rather drink black coffee and was rarely seen with tea in his cup. Tea is very popular with British locals, as some 84 percent love to have this herbal drink every day.

A royal butler revealed in a BBC Three documentary that Queen Elizabeth often drinks Assam and Earl Grey tea traditionally with milk. She wants her tea made with tea leaves, and she strains this herself when poured in her china teacup.

Meanwhile, both royals don't binge on drinking alcohol. According to a former royal chef in a Reader's Digest story, she would occasionally enjoy a drink gin and Dubonnet, especially during social functions. This was also the drink of choice of the Queen Mother when she was still alive.

Prince Philip, on the other hand, drinks alcohol in small amounts and is more partial to healthy living. The days, however, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip enjoy their brand of wine from their vineyard in Windsor. The royal family has a seven-acre land for grapes, which was established in 2011. In 2017, the winery released its first batches of wine, which has been sold commercially. Windsor Vineyard wines may also be ordered online when it's seasonally available.

Despite enjoying a lot of social drinking in his youth, the habit of tempering his drinks is why Queen Elizabeth's husband has a fabulous physique, according to John Kent, who has been making the duke's suits for half a century. Kent said that Prince Philip has a well-proportioned body and does not carry too much weight. His body measurements haven't changed in years. As a young lad, Prince Philip had a 31-inch waistline, and it took a while before it expanded to 34 inches that Kent said he never had to dispose of the duke's old clothes often.

Ingrid Seward of Majesty Magazine also took note of the duke's physique. He apparently, loves to take care of his built with physical activities. As much as he is careful with drinking alcohol, Prince Philip also watches what he eats and tries to lose the extra weight he gains.
