Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is reportedly planning to release an explosive recording from an interview she did 23 years ago. It supposedly contains her no-holds-barred thoughts and feelings about her ex-father-in-law, Prince Philip, and ex-sisters-in-law, Princess Anne and Princess Diana.
According to New Idea, the Duchess of York who is also fondly called Fergie, did this interview fresh from her divorce from Prince Andrew, who is said to Queen Elizabeth's favorite son. Royal observers said that this move might just be a ploy to take off the heat from the Duke of York amid the Jeffrey Epstein scandal which has implicated him.
Royal insiders say that Fergie brutally and candidly talked about controversial subjects in the royal family in this never-before-released interview. Speculations suggest that, aside from her comments about Prince Philip and Princess Anne, Fergie also discussed her falling out with Princess Diana at length in this recording.
Prince Philip and Fergie have been feuding shortly after the divorce. Once his favorite daughter-in-law, Prince Philip apparently made snide remarks and statements against the Duchess of York in private and in the press.
Princess Anne, on the other hand, regarded Fergie as an outsider. The book "The Duchess of York Uncensored" documented how Princess Anne apparently made Fergie cry in the middle of a row between the royal and her brother, Prince Andrew.
Now, sources said that Fergie is willing to release the recording to give her ex-husband a break from all the bad press. However, as she has just been recently mending her relationship with the royals, the Duchess of York allegedly plans to get Queen Elizabeth's approval before putting the recording out in public.
Since this summer, Prince Andrew has been plagued by accusations that he also benefited from his friendship with the disgraced billionaire Epstein, who died in prison for his crimes as a pedophile. Allegedly, Prince Andrew also had forced and illicit sexual relations from the women in Epstein's parties.
Despite their divorce in the 1990s, the Duke and Duchess of York have remained particularly close. Royal fans think that, in the end, Fergie and Prince Andrew might end up remarrying each other.
Speaking on Hello, Fergie said that she and Prince Andrew believe on "familyhood" and the "integrity of goodness," hence, they were able to raise their daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, in a positive environment.
