Kate Middleton and Prince William sparked another pregnancy rumor during their recent trip to Pakistan. Now, punters are confident that the Duchess of Cambridge is having twins and will likely announce the pregnancy soon.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes spoke with Daily Express to confirm that betting increased for the likelihood that Duchess Kate and Prince William will be having twins by next year. There are 4/1 odds that it will happen, if punters are right, while some think that there are 1/5 odds that Duchess Kate is pregnant for the fourth time.

This wild pregnancy speculation regarding Duchess Kate's condition grew even louder when news came out that a doctor was part of the Cambridges' entourage to their trip to Pakistan a few days ago. According to reports, this was a first for the royal couple as they haven't taken a doctor in their previous tours, unlike Queen Elizabeth or Prince Philip. The doctor is a friend of Prince William during his days working at the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Meanwhile, it has been six centuries, or 589 years to be exact, that the British royal family had a twin birth. It happened during the time of James I in the 1400s when his wife Queen Joan had twin boys, Alexander and James. According to Metro, Alexander, unfortunately, did not survive his first year, and it was James who eventually succeeded his father as king.

If Prince William and Duchess Kate do have twins as their fourth children, the order in the line of succession won't be complicated. The twin who was born first will assume the spot after Prince Louis, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's third child, and the twins would be bumping off Prince Harry by two posts.

In September, a publication claimed that they are aware of the gender of Duchess Kate's fourth children. She will have twin girls by next year, and the Cambridge household has now been preparing for their arrival.

Prince William also reportedly asked his wife to go on bed rest because of her delicate condition as her morning sickness might once again affect her alleged pregnancy. The report, however, was debunked as a complete fabrication. Duchess Kate has also not been slowing down with her royal duties and has, in fact, been going to various events in the last few months, including that four-day visit to Pakistan.
