The family life of Prince William and Prince Harry is far from a fairy tale. With divorced parents and the pressures of the crown, it could be speculated that the sons of Prince Charles and Princess Diana hold grudges against their parents.

Some royal observers, in a royal fan discussion on Quora, believe that Prince William and Prince Harry forgave their father for his affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles, now his second wife. It's clear from their relationship with Prince Charles today that the boys love their father, the future King of England.

Another royal fan stated that every child would one day realize that their parents are not perfect. Prince William and Prince Harry learned this early on when their mother divulged to the public that Prince Charles had an extra-marital relationship for most of their marriage.

It is reported that a tell-all by Princess Diana had Prince William more upset at his mother than his father. In 1995, Princess Diana did a sit-down interview with BBC's Martin Bashir to finally set the record straight on her marriage. She also detailed how she told Prince William that they would be divorcing.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl said that a lot of the members of the royal family were mad at Princess Diana for doing this interview, including Prince William. In the documentary "William and Harry: Brothers in Arms," Nicholl revealed that Prince William was able to watch everything and immediately called up his mother in anger after what he saw.

In an intimate conversation with one of Princess Diana's close friends, the mom confessed that Prince William told him he would never forgive his mother for what she did. He felt betrayed that his mother invited the press to her home to reveal their family issues to the public.

However, in 2017, Prince William said in an interview that he finally understood why his mother had to do the tell-all. Princess Diana was the subject of a lot of bad press at that time, and it was her way of correcting the unfair stories that were written about her. Prince William said that the easiest way to do this was to be present in the media and open the door.

Prince Harry, on the other hand, was too young at that time to process what was going on in the family. However, he would do a somewhat similar move years later and be present in the media to defend his wife, Meghan Markle, from the negative stuff about her.  Since being in a relationship with the former American TV star, Prince Harry issued at least three official statements to the press, suggesting that they back off from putting his wife in a bad light.
