Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's documentary on their tour in South Africa has been making headlines since it aired last Sunday in the U.K. and Wednesday in the U.S. Conflicting reports about Queen Elizabeth's reaction on her grandchildren's revelations have cropped up online.

In the documentary, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that they are struggling with the media scrutiny as royals. Meghan Markle shared that, while she was aware that their lives will be in a constant microscope, she was naive to think the tabloid press would be fair. Prince Harry, on the other hand, is trying to protect his wife from the negative press because he doesn't want a repeat of what his mother, Princess Diana, went through.

According to Daily Star, senior members of the British royal family are said to be "horrified" by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's revelations. The report stated that Queen Elizabeth is concerned about the Sussex royals' status with the media.

BBC royal correspondent Jonny Dymond believes that the royals have frowned upon the documentary interview. Dymond said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "are being divisive" when they do things that are against the practice of the monarch, which is to refrain from expressing their feelings and emotions to trigger reactions from the public.

Royal author Phil Dampier, who has been following the family for three decades, said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have been ill-advised or ignoring advice from within the palace. Dampier also said that he was surprised by the revelations because, from where he was sitting, the couple sparked a bad relationship with the press.

Royal commentator Victoria Arbiter has a different view of how Queen Elizabeth reacted to the document. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Arbiter said that Her Majesty must be sympathetic to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and even offer her support behind the scenes with her grandchildren's legal actions.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle filed a lawsuit against a news outlet for publishing private letters of the duchess to his father. The duke said the letter has been printed and edited to taint Meghan's image. It was also in violation of the Data Privacy Act.

Arbiter believes that Queen Elizabeth will agree with the way tabloid media has treated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, she also implied that Her Majesty has a different way of dealing with this aspect of their royal life knowing that the family still needs the media to promote their causes.
