Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been married for over a year and blessed with one child so far. However, fans think that the Duke of Sussex regrets marrying the woman who attracts a lot of controversy just like his mother, Princess Diana.
In a post on Twitter, fans, discussing about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, think that Meghan Markle might be Prince Harry's biggest regret because she's hounded by drama. Another fan said that it's as if Prince Harry married his mother who was also a magnet for controversy and who was someone who didn't "go along with the program."
It's a known fact that Princess Diana often broke royal protocols and traditions that she was cited as the rebellious one who went against Queen Elizabeth's expectations. Meghan Markle has also been rumored to ruffle a few feathers at the palace that if she doesn't "get her mind right," the royals might eliminate her from the family.
After releasing their video documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Page Six reported that Queen Elizabeth's people removed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement photo by the console at Buckingham Palace. Her Majesty used to have the Sussex royals' picture next to Prince William and Kate Middleton but it's no longer there in a most recent photo of the Queen's receiving room.
The missing photo comes after Prince Harry and Meghan revealed in the documentary interview that it's hard to be living in the spotlight as royals. Prince Harry also seemingly confirmed the rift between him and his only sibling Prince William.
PR man Mark Borkowski said, in The Guardian, that the documentary was a wrong decision for the Sussex royals. Instead of gaining sympathy for their struggles under the spotlight, the interview came off as an utter disaster that reflected on the Queen.
The royals often live by the "never complain, never explain" mantra that Queen Elizabeth has followed in her seven decades as the monarch. This move by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, however, seemed like a Hollywood PR stunt for celebrities. The only problem is that celebrities don't have any public obligation unlike royals, who are supported and funded by the people's tax funds.
As it is, the public has been split over liking the Sussex couple even more after their raw and emotional revelation or blaming them for complaining about their problems in their privileged life. Some say that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle need to deal with it, knowing what they got into. Others, however, also said that they should renounce their royal titles if they want a peaceful existence.
