Kate Middleton and Prince William are primed to ascend a dignified role as the future Queen and King of England. Though they rarely show public displays of affection because of this, a video once caught them holding hands while walking. The same video also showed the duchess' very playful side.

Taken by the Australian media and re-posted on Instagram, the first few seconds of the clip showed Kate Middleton playing with her son, Prince George. This was their first Easter holiday as parents of a one-year-old boy and the duchess happily entertained her then-only child during their private time while on tour in the Land Down Under.

The next few seconds of the clip showed Prince William and Kate Middleton holding hands as they had their own private time walking in the bush gardens of the Government House. Happy and relaxed as they walked side-by-side, the duchess even skipped and kicked her legs, which showed her playful side.

Royal fans could not help but remark about the sweetness between Prince William and Kate Middleton. Dressed down in just shirt and jeans, the Cambridges looked like any ordinary couple.

In 2010 when the couple announced their engagement, Prince William and Kate sat down for an interview and confessed that they got along well because of their humor. Prince William described his then-bride-to-be as someone with a "naughty" sense of humor, which clicked with his own "dirty" sense of humor.

In another interview, Prince William and Kate exchanged barbs like a comic duo. The Duke of Cambridge teased his wife that she used to have 10 posters of Prince William in her bedroom. The duchess shot back that her bedroom posters are actually of this guy from Levi's to mock her husband.

In another event, Prince William joked that his wife ruined an artist's painting when she was asked to add her own spin. He also teased about his wife's cooking skills more than once in public.

Kate Middleton, on the other hand, ribs Prince William for his bald head and for the fact that he likes to eat messy pizza dinners on the sofa. While working on their mental health campaign for teenagers, Kate joked that her husband thinks like a 16-year-old at times.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton has never tried to suppress her real personality to prevent getting embarrassed in front of the public even though she would one day sit next to her husband as the monarch. A compilation of photographs from Harper's Bazaar shows the duchess' relatable side as she went crazy with playing Harry Potter's wand, or got anxious during a sporting match, or became enthralled by meeting Beyonce during a public event.
