The Cupertino-based tech giant did not launch the new tablet-friendly software as what many expected. But, the iPadOS is now available for download to compatible Apple tablets. This is the first time that Apple released software specially designed for the iPads.

The latest iPadOS 13.2 update is now available, which means iPad users who have already updated their devices will now be able to play Apple Arcade, Apple's new gaming subscription service. Additionally, iPad users will now be able to enjoy the latest tweaks and tricks on their devices.

The latest iPadOS 13.2 is a massive move from Apple since it finally committed to separate iPad's software from iPhone's iOS software. According to Apple, the iPad build is based on the same iOS foundation, but users can expect the iPadOS to grow more into its very own operating system over the years. The latest iPadOS 13.2 update introduces a wide variety of crucial improvements to the UI of Apple's tablet.

This includes better use of the device's screen real estate and the new set of gesture controls along with mouse support for an improved overall tablet experience. Most of the updates introduced on various iPadOS update releases introduced bug fixes and optimizations. But, the most recent build brings support to the recently announced Apple AirPods Pro and HomeKit routers and video.

Devices that can download and install the iPadOS 13.2 includes iPad Pro 12.9 (2018), iPad Pro 12.9 (2017), and iPad Pro 12.9 (2015). Users of iPad Pro 11 (2018), iPad Pro 10.5 (2017), iPad Pro 9.7 (2016), and iPad Air (2019) can also download and update their devices with the latest build. Other devices that can be updated with iPadOS 13.2 includes iPad Air 2, iPad (2018), iPad (2017), iPad Mini (2019), and iPad Mini 4.

Apple also introduces new gestures with the release of iPadOS 13.2. Some of them are very simple gestures such as three-finger splay to paste, three-finger pinch to cut, and three-finger swipe to undo. In some apps, users will be able to use a two-finger pinch to shrink the keyboard to the size of iOS mobile as well as move it around. Users can also plunk it next to the screen's side and can type by simply using one thumb.

Mouse support is also introduced in the latest iPadOS 13.2 update. While it is not something that users will find as the front and center of the official iPadOS features' list, it comes handy, especially for those using their iPads for businesses and task purposes. This is just the beginning of mouse support for the iPad, which at this time, is more of an accessory.

Earlier, we have heard whispers that Apple may be planning to transform the iPad into a hard-core gamer's device by releasing full mouse support soon. Given the impressive technology under the hood, the iPad can serve as an ideal gamer's tablet. With the accessibility and availability of Apple Arcade on the Apple tablet, positioning the iPad for the gaming segment could contribute to Apple's sales.
