Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are dealing with a lot of issues right now. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex just couldn’t catch a break from their critics as they are being bashed for everything that they do.

Now, a new report seemingly hinted that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be looking for a second base outside the U.K. Rumor has it that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could possibly move to America, especially after all the hate that the former actress received from the British tabloids.

“Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are considering relocating to the US for great swathes of the year,” The Sun reporter Dan Wootton wrote. “The troubled couple’s upcoming break from work in California is being viewed as a test for a potential future move.”

Since things are not going well with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the U.K., an insider said that moving to the U.S. doesn’t seem to be a bad idea for the royal couple. “There’s an acceptance that things haven’t worked out with the Sussexes full-time in Windsor so they could have a second base in America,” the source said.

The tipster added that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take some time off after their royal commitments are done to have some family time around the end of the year. They also noted that it is still unknown where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are heading, and reports about the location of their trip are pure speculations.

Meanwhile, if rumors about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving out of the U.K. are true, this is certainly not the first time that the royal couple toyed with the idea of living somewhere else. In their documentary called Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, the Duke of Sussex told Tom Bradby that "I don’t know where we could live in Africa at the moment. We've just come from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place for us to be able to base ourselves, of course, it would."

However, royal expert Victoria Arbiter said that moving to a different location is not that easy for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Unlike the commoners who can quickly move from one place to another, there are a lot of aspects to consider if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex really want to swap Frogmore Cottage in Windsor for life in South Africa, or in any other places, for that matter.

“Is the South African taxpayer suddenly paying for their security, or is the British taxpayer paying for that? Neither party is going to be particularly happy,” she said.
