Is Meghan Markle an adorable person? Some royal watchers don't think it's the best word to describe the Duchess of Sussex.
In a discussion on Quora, participants struggled with describing what makes Prince Harry's wife adorable. One commenter said they are taking a long time to reply because many people, apparently, do not find Meghan Markle adorable. Instead, the commenter described the former TV star as "annoying and rude."
Another commenter said that Meghan may look caring, kind, nice and pleasant but not adorable as the word doesn't fit her persona. One commented sarcastically and enumerated stuff about the duchess' that are completely the opposite of what's been reported in the press, such as her relationship with her father or her family's use of the British taxpayer's money.
Despite the seemingly negative response though, a survey revealed that Meghan is well-liked by the British. The Tatler magazine poll revealed that 55 percent of the locals think Meghan Markle is good for the royals even as 45 percent disagreed with this opinion.
The poll also revealed that 39 percent thinks the Duchess of Sussex is quite hypocritical when it came to environmental issues. She and Prince Harry were heavily criticized over the summer for their use of private jets during their trips to France and Spain while speaking about helping the environment and expressing their advocacy for conservation.
The survey also compared Meghan Markle to Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William's wife. Apparently, some 44 percent of the respondents prefer Kate than Meghan.
Meanwhile, Kate, apparently, reached out to Meghan after this whole controversy over the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey. According to royal correspondent Phil Dampier, Kate advised Meghan to "move on and get through it" after the bad press.
Kate is not immune to the criticisms from the public given her status as a royal and the future Queen of England. Over the years, Prince William's wife was referred to by the nickname "Waity Katie" because it took her nearly a decade to get her husband to propose. The duchess was also called lazy by many of the royal critics.
Dampier said that Prince William and Kate Middleton are trying to help out Prince Harry and Meghan because it would be a disaster if the latter couple decided to live abroad. Apparently, the Cambridges would also be devastated if the Sussexes renounce their royal life for the sake of living in peace, away from the media scrutiny.
