Kate Middleton, reportedly, stepped in to help her in-laws, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, amid their struggles as royals heavily scrutinized in public. Reports claimed that the Duchess of Cambridge reached out to the Duchess of Sussex in her desire to patch things up and not disappoint Queen Elizabeth.
Royal correspondent Phil Dampier revealed he got word from insiders in the palace that Kate Middleton is "is doing her best to bring everyone together" for the sake of Prince Harry's wife. She talked to the Meghan on the phone and gave her words of advice as someone who has been party of the royal family for eight years.
Dampier said that Kate told Meghan every royal has gone through a bad patch with the press." She told her sister-in-law that they will get through this and learn from their mistakes.
The news comes as Kate and Meghan, along with their husbands Prince William and Prince Harry, are expected to be together in public on Nov. 11 for the Remembrance Sunday commemorations. It would be a reunion for these royal couples after Prince Harry said, in an interview, that he and his brother have not been hanging out like they used to because they are on separate paths.
Palace officials are, reportedly, hopeful that the forthcoming reunion will be a time for healing especially on such a significant day. It would also be a great time for the senior royals to reflect on life's most important things.
Royal fans on Quora, however, do not believe Kate Middleton's advice to Meghan Markle. One avid royal watcher said that it's not in Kate's nature to enter into the conversation but it looks like this is a PR spin from Meghan's team to endear her to the public.
While it's likely that Kate and Meghan talked, it's hard to ascertain for sure that these are the exact words she told her sister-in-law, another commenter said. It's also possible that the royal family are rallying behind Prince Harry and Meghan's fight against the tabloid press but it's doubtful they would actually tell anyone outside of their circle what they think of the controversy.
Meanwhile, a source told Us Weekly that Kate prefers to stay out of the drama. Though she is concerned for her in-laws and hopes that Prince Harry and Meghan aren't miserable in their fight against the tabloid press, the Duchess of Cambridge is, reportedly, quietly behind her embattled family.
