Members of the royal family are a different breed of people than commoners, but they can still be relatable to ordinary folks. In between royal engagements, where they are expected to be formal and observe protocols, Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, Queen Elizabeth, and even Prince Charles, busted some moves and showed their dancing skills.
A series of photos published in Hello! featured the royal family in their most informal moments dancing with the crowd. While on a royal tour of Africa, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, happily joined a group of people as she clapped, twirled, and jived to the beat.
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, had that one unforgettable moment where she twirled on the floor with the mascot Paddington Bear taking the lead. This was during a charity event held at the iconic London train station.
The mom of three also danced in front of the crowd in full costume with Prince William during their trip to the Far East in 2012. They did a traditional South Pacific Island dance without any hesitation.
During her younger years, Queen Elizabeth was also a fireball on the dance floor. While on tour in Canada in the 1950s, Her Majesty, together with her husband, Prince Philip, went square dancing along with everyone in attendance at a royal event. Queen Elizabeth would also dance at the ballroom of Hyde Park Hotel with her esteemed guests during their royal parties and celebrations.
Her son, Prince Charles, let loose one time in Mexico by doing some clog dancing moves. Though he looked pretty awkward, the heir to the throne also appeared to enjoy himself.
His wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, did a little cha-cha while visiting a children's school because one of the judges of Strictly Come Dancing was also there. She obliged Craig Revel when he asked her to dance.
Prince William and Prince Harry did some goofy dance moves in front of other people during their royal visits as well. These brothers did not seem to mind how they looked, but Prince William admitted he's not much of a dancer, unlike his brother, who did a little ballet for a group of kids at the YMCA East Ealing.
During their most recent visit to Pakistan, Prince William's wife teased him in public for not being able to dance. Kate, in jest, apologized to the dancers while Prince William took the ribbing with a good-natured laugh.
