Cote de Pablo is back as Ziva David on the set of NCIS season 17. The character returned in the first two episodes this season, but left fans hanging at the end of "Into the Light". Now, a photo from one of her co-stars confirmed the actress is back portraying her role, making fans even more excited.
It's not surprising Ziva will come back in NCIS season 17 after her appearance in the first and second episodes. Yet, there are still a lot of mysteries on how she will be mixed into the rest of the season. But, recently, her co-star Brian Dietzen (plays Dr. Jimmy Palmer) shared a photo of him and Cote back in filming.
In the photo, which was taken by their co-star Diona Reasonover (Kasie Hines), it's apparent that Dietzen and de Pablo are having fun on set. The actor wrote in the caption that he loves working wing good friends, and added: "Fun day on set today."
There have been talks over the past weeks on when will be the next appearance of Ziva, and the photo likely hints she will have a fun reunion with Jimmy when she returns. These two didn't have a proper reunion in the first two episodes of NCIS season 17.
Ziva and Jimmy have a deep and wonderful friendship. So, it would be nice seeing them reunite. As per CarterMatt, if the writers allow this reunion, it will stand out as it will be a light and fun one -- compared to other reunions coming up.
Right now, there's still no confirmation when will be the next appearance of Ziva in the series. But, previously, it was noted that her first two episodes in the early run of the season will be followed by two more episodes that will air in late fall or early winter.
There are still a lot of stories coming up in the final episodes of the year, and some are hoping it would also feature Ziva and Tony's reunion (played by Michael Weatherly). The character still has a lot of unfinished business. However, details about a possible reunion between these two remain scarce.
Meanwhile, according to CarterMatt, there may not be a new episode on Nov. 26 since airing a new episode two days before Thanksgiving isn't the best move. The outlet noted that Ziva's new episode will probably air in December, though there's still no official announcement as of the moment.
