Unai Emery appears to be getting a lot of attention lately but not in a good way. For months some Arsenal supporters have been calling out for the Gunners to sack the Spanish coach. A new report claims that the Arsenal board is giving Emery four matches to save his job.

The four matches reportedly given to the Spanish coach is his ticket to prove his worth to the Arsenal board and maybe to the supporters that he is still the right man for the Gunners. Unai Emery and his position in Arsenal have been under so much scrutiny in the past weeks with the team winning only three out of its nine league matches. Last Saturday's 1-1 draw with the Wolves puts Arsenal six points off the top four and is set to play at the KingPower Stadium in Leicester City next weekend.

There have been rumors swirling online that Arsenal is considering former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho to replace Unai Emery. A few days ago, reports claimed that the head of football of the Gunners dined with Jose Mourinho to talk about his future with the team. The Gunners, however, denied that the meeting between the two happened, according to Metro.

Unai Emery, according to Mirror, is still under pressure, and he has the whole month of November to convince the executives of Arsenal to stick with him. Arsenal is scheduled to face Vitoria in the Europa League on Thursday before they travel to Leicester City. The team has also a scheduled match at home against Southampton prior to hosting Frankfurt at the Emirates Stadium.

Aside from the poor results, there is also a claim that Emery has not progressed since he assumed the post left by Arsene Wenger in 2018. Arsenal is scoring less, conceding more, and at times lack a clear identity under Emery's lead, Metro reported. Meanwhile, several reports claim that the Gunners have already identified three possible new managers to assume Emery's position should the executives decide to let Emery go.

Aside from the former Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho, Arsenal is reportedly considering Mikel Arteta and Massimiliano Allegri for the position. Arsenal supports have begun turning against the Spanish coach after a run of frustrating results, especially during the time when Arsenal let its lead slip. In a month, the Gunners have failed to win a league month and are now sitting six points away from the top four.
