The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will be joining the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker-Bowles, in a special Remembrance Day event on Thursday, Nov. 7. This will be the very first joint event for the trio but Prince Charles will not be in attendance.

According to Hello! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be visiting the 91st Field of Remembrance in Westminster Abbey to lay down the Cross of Remembrance with Camilla. Prince Harry has done these six times before with other members of the royal family but it will be a first for his wife and Camilla.

The event is part of the Festival of Remembrance, which is celebrated to honor the veterans of the Armed Forces who served the country during war. The laying of the cross, coupled with the Last Post sound, is a precursor to the actual remembrance, which will happen on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 9 and 10, with Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royals.

With Prince Harry and Meghan joining Camilla for this special time, royal fans wonder what the arrangement will be without the Prince of Wales. Will Prince Harry and Meghan walk behind Camilla? Does Prince Harry take seniority over Camilla if his father is not around during a royal engagement?

It's unclear why Prince Charles will not be at this engagement but royal fans discussed the predicament over seniority on Twitter. Some expressed that Prince Harry will likely let the royal ladies walk in front of him because he is a gentleman. However, some royal observers think that Meghan Markle and Camilla Parker-Bowles will respect seniority and stay behind Prince Harry or let him sit first since he is the blood prince.

Meanwhile, The Sunday Times reports that this might be the last official royal engagement for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the year. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are headed to the United States for a six-week break, where they will be celebrating Thanksgiving with Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced a couple of weeks back that they will be actively doing their royal duties until mid-November only. After which, they will fly off for the holidays in the U.S. The Sussex royals, however, are expected to return to London with their son Archie before Christmas day since Queen Elizabeth has her annual Christmas lunch with the family.
