Ahead of their anticipated reunion in the weekend of Remembrance Day, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, seemingly extended a peace offering to his sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. The duke, apparently, gave honors to a charity that Prince Harry's wife recently worked hard with.
According to Daily Express, Prince William presented the chairperson of Smart Works, Sarah Burns, with an MBE royal honor for her work with disadvantaged women. Meghan has been a patron of Smart Works since January and last September, she launched a clothing collection with Burns and the organization for the women they are helping.
Smart Works helps disadvantaged women prepare for potential employment through job leads, styling advice, coaching and other ways of helping them return to work. This charity service aims to empower women and boost their confidence following setbacks in their lives.
The report cited that the Duchess of Sussex will, no doubt, be happy with the honor bestowed on Burns moreso because it was given to her friend by Prince William. It comes after Prince Harry hinted that he and his brother are no longer spending as much time as they used to because they are on different paths.
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle will come face-to-face with Prince William this Saturday, Nov. 9, as they join Prince Harry and Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, along with the rest of the royals for Remembrance Day.
The foursome will be attending the annual Royal British Legion Festival at the Royal Albert Hall to honor the military servicemen who served the war. The next day, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will also be joining Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and the rest of the royals for the Sunday service and the laying of the wreath at London's Cenotaph.
This will be the first weekend that the fab four will be seen together in public after months of a speculated rift and distance. The last time Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were with Prince William and Kate in public was in July for a royal charity polo match. The royal couples apparently don't personally make efforts to see each other away from the prying eyes of the media, sources say.
This year has been especially tense for the sons of Prince Charles as they have officially split houses and foundations at the beginning of the year. Rumors also sparked regarding Prince William and Prince Harry's feud over the former's advice to his younger brother about marrying Meghan Markle.
