Meghan Markle and Prince Harry joined Kate Middleton and Prince William at the Remembrance Day ceremonies over the weekend along with Queen Elizabeth. Following the significant annual event, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a post on their Instagram to share their heartfelt sentiments about the occasion and the reunion with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince Harry and Meghan were last seen in public with Prince William and Kate at a royal charity event in July. Since then, Prince Harry has admitted that he and his older brother haven't been hanging out or spending time together as much as they used to.

On Instagram, the Sussex royals said that they "were honoured to once again pay tribute to all casualties of war and remember those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country." Prince Harry and Meghan also attended the said event together last year, while she was pregnant with their son, Archie

However, royal fans hoping to see the four royals standing or sitting close together were disappointed because Prince Harry and Meghan were separated from Prince William and Kate. Prince William and Harry did stand together at the solemn service for the laying of the wreath, where they weren't seen talking to each other, as it should be. Their wives, on the other hand, were standing in separate balconies thus the public did not see them make any exchange.

According to Hello! there's no intrigue nor controversy in how the Sussex and Cambridge royals were seated or assigned to stand because it is a matter of precedence and not favoritism. This was the same protocol the royals followed last year.

Since Prince William and Kate were senior royals and could one day sit on the throne, they were assigned next to Queen Elizabeth and her heir, Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. Since Prince Harry was sixth in line to the throne, he and his wife were naturally seated further away from the Queen.

Prince Harry and Meghan also did not arrive at the same time with Prince William and Kate. They did not break royal protocols by making this an opportunity for picture taking. Thus, there were no photographs of the four at the red carpet together since it still a matter of precedence.

A source told the Daily Mail that the royals attended the event to show respect and recognition for war heroes and those who contributed to the efforts of making the ultimate sacrifice for the country. It was not an event where they have to be pictured together.
