Queen Elizabeth was spotted wiping her tears away while watching Sunday's Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph balcony. According to a body language expert, there could be a deeper reason for the Queen's sadness as she and the rest of the royal family honored fallen war heroes.

Body language expert Judi James said that that apart from giving honors to those who have served the war, Queen Elizabeth might have been emotional because Prince Philip was, once again, not present at this annual solemn event.  James said that the Queen had to watch someone else take the place of her husband, who has not been attending public services since his retirement in 2017.

According to reports, Prince Philip often decides at the last moment to attend public events. The palace, however, did not include his name at this year's services thus he was not expected to join Queen Elizabeth for Remembrance Day.

Several wreaths were laid out in memory of those who were in combat during the service. Prince Charles led the ceremony in behalf of Queen Elizabeth and an equerry was also laid down in behalf of Prince Philip.

Standing next to Queen Elizabeth were Prince Charles' wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Kate Middleton, Prince William's wife. Kate turned to Queen Elizabeth a few times to chat. Their smiles suggested that Her Majesty and granddaughter-in-law have such a strong bond and friendship, according to the body language expert.

Meanwhile, brothers Prince William and Prince Harry also joined their father at the Cenotaph. Both were dressed in their military uniforms as they saluted the fallen soldiers' monuments and also laid out the wreaths. This was their first appearance together in public after talks of a rift.

Prince Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, was also spotted at the balcony with Sophie, the Countess of Sussex. They were in a separate window, though, and was far from Queen Elizabeth and Kate.

The royals also watched a special concert at the Royal Albert Hall the night before the service. Prince William and Kate sat beside Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Camilla, while Prince Harry and Kate were seated at the back row after Prime Minister Boris Johnson, his partner Carrie Symonds, and Prince Andrew.

This year marked the anniversary since the D-Day battle. It was also the 100th year anniversary of the Government Communications Headquarters. Some 44 veterans were also in attendance at the concert and were given a standing ovation for their service.
