The second episode of The Mandalorian has just aired on Disney+ and it looks like the new Star Wars series is revisiting one of the franchise's most alluring aspects. Amidst all the action and humor in 'Chapter Two', the episode confirmed that its mysterious new addition is actually strong in the Force. Not surprisingly, this had led to speculations that there is a different reason why the new character is so important. It is believed that the young Force user might already be a secret Jedi.

In The Mandalorian Season 1 Episode 2, the bounty hunter finally leaves the facility with the baby he was tasked to procure in 'Chapter One'. Unfortunately, it isn't quite as easy as the Mandalorian had hoped for. Once he returns to his ship, he finds that Jawas have taken it apart and are escaping with the parts. This leads to an epic chase across the desert on top of a moving Sandcrawler.

Although he puts up a great fight, the Mandalorian still loses parts of his ship to the Jawas. Luckily, his old friend Kuiil the Ugnaught is friends with the scavengers and helps him negotiate a deal. However, it would mean that the bounty hunter would need to get an alien egg for the Jawas in exchange for the parts of the ship. The new mission might sound easy but it turns out to be a huge risk for the Mandalorian.

The mission sends the bounty hunter to a cave where he encounters a gigantic creature that resembles a rhinoceros that appears to be guarding the egg. This leads to a major fight that destroys all of the Mandalorian's firearms and he is almost killed by the creature. However, this is when his new companion comes to the rescue and uses the Force to stop the monster. Luckily, it gives the Mandalorian just enough time to kill the creature.

It's an amazing revelation that people have already suspected about the child in The Mandalorian Season 1 Episode 1. After all, it is believed that Yoda's species is inherently strong with the Force and could easily grow to become powerful Force users. But is it possible that the baby already has Jedi training? Hopefully, the truth will be revealed in the next episode.

You can watch the first two episodes of The Mandalorian on Disney+ now. The third episode, which is simply titled 'Chapter Three', will premiere on November 22.
