Arsenal has suffered a frustrating start to the Premier League season. Because of this, fans are pointing the blame to the Gunners' Spanish coach Unai Emery and are even calling out the club to sack him. Express recently shared three potential transfers that could help Unai Emery salvage his post at Arsenal.

One of the major frailties of Arsenal this season is its defense partially because of the poor form of Nicolas Pepe. The Gunners are now below Sheffield United and Leicester City on the list. The team is scheduled to play against South Hampton next weekend, with its opponents determined to give Arsenal its fourth defeat.

But, there might be a way for the Arsenal to solve its current problem without firing Unai Emery. Express Sport recently recommended three signings that could give Arsenal the necessary boost it needs at the halfway of the season. However, these signings might cost the Gunners a hefty amount of cash.

Wilfried Zaha

Nicolas Pepe's current form is an indication that Arsenal will not get immediate improvement. Express recommended that the Gunners could seek the help of Wilfried Zaha on this matter. Zaha is still a crucial component in Roy Hodgson's system at Crystal Palace, however, his failure to transfer last summer seems to have affected his performance.

The Ivory Coast international only registered one assist out of 12 outings this season. He has not also made a single goal, which could mean that his £70m could dramatically drop.

Dayot Upamecano

Central defender of RB Leipzig Dayot Upamecano would make a great addition to the defense of Arsenal according to Express. Of his three Bundesliga seasons, the 21 years old footballer has shown his class ever since he joined from the Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg. Additionally, he has made a name at the Champions League.

The French footballer was linked with transfer abroad during the summer transfer window. However, potential suitors must be prepared to pay £50million and higher if they want to get him.

Caglar Soyuncu

Caglar Soyuncu of Leicester City might sound like an odd choice but Express believes that he would be a solid addition to Arsenal. He formerly played as a defender in Freiburg and has been a revelation in Brendan Rodgers' starting XI in the absence of Harry Maguire. The 23 years old footballer might be tempted to move to the Emirates with a report from Star claiming that the Gunners have been scouting him ahead of the potential bid.
