The bad press around Meghan Markle, sparked by the British tabloid media, may be taken as a sign that she isn't liked by some of the public. These people, however, are the very same ones that describe Prince Harry's wife as an attention-seeker.

In a discussion on Quora, royal fans said that it's usually the haters who say that the Duchess of Sussex craves the attention, without any proof or truth to these accusations. It's also the vicious tabloid media that constantly puts regular nasty stories about Meghan, despite the Sussex royals limiting their media attention, because the press needs to fill up their paper's space.

An anglophile pointed out the double standard in the media with one side wondering why Meghan craves attention, while another side becoming upset when the Sussex royals want to keep a low profile. Prince Harry and Meghan are in such a "damned if you do and damned if you don't spot" that it defies logic as to how their haters think of their situation.

But in a recent public outing, Meghan Markle told a friend Bryony Gordon that she does not want people to love her as a public figure. What she really wants is for the public to hear her when she uses her voice to amplify the messages of those who do not have any chance to be heard.

Meghan spoke about this during her visit to Luminary Bakery's second branch opening. Reporters were all around, which gave the Duchess of Sussex a chance to air out her side, especially after she and Prince Harry released the documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.

Meanwhile, Meghan, along with Prince Harry, apparently welcomed former U.S. First Lady Hillary Clinton at their home in Frogmore Cottage last Tuesday, Nov. 12. The meeting was arranged by the Sussex royal's press secretary, Sara Latham who used to also work for the Clintons.

According to Daily Mail, there was always a mutual admiration between these two women who had a "very sweet and warm meeting." Clinton also apparently got to meet baby Archie.

The former Secretary of State also said that she was there to be like mother for Meghan, who publicly admitted her struggles in the media spotlight as a royal. Allegedly, the meeting might have paved way for more advocacies for Prince Harry and Meghan stateside, should the Sussex couple decide to spend half their time in the United States.
