Princess Eugenie touched down in New York hours after his father, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, granted an interview on his alleged involvement in a sex scandal. While that interview was met with a lot of criticism and backlash, Princess Eugenie is pressing on with her head held up high.

The paparazzi spotted the Queen's granddaughter at the JFA Airport. The trip comes after she recently celebrated her first wedding anniversary to Jack Brooksbank.

Royal followers on Twitter, however, saw a different aura in Princess Eugenie. They think that she's sad and heartbrokenafter her father was in the hot seat and grilled in the media for his alleged participation in the scandal.

But the sister of Princess Beatrice was hardly down even after the criticisms rained on her father. On her Instagram, the royal kept her mood happy and light as she posted a hilarious throwback photo of her getting on a pony as a child.

She made fun of the fact that she didn't seem thrilled to be riding and that she was also wearing an oversized coat that looked like she stole it from a grown-up. Princess Eugenie's followers remarked that she looked adorable and cute.

Meanwhile, the fallout of Prince Andrew's interview has resulted in several organizations and charitable partners allegedly distancing themselves from the Queen's favorite son. This came after critics said that Prince Andrew didn't seem sincere or sympathetic to the victims of his friend, Jeffrey Epstein.

According to Time, corporations and universities are now thinking twice about supporting the Duke of York. The report stated that many of these organizations do not want to be "represented by a man with ties to organized child sexual exploitation and assault."

Epstein, Prince Andrew's close friend, was a known pedophile. The billionaire used to hold private parties at his home where underage women were peddled for sex, among other accusations. Epstein, however, won't be able to corroborate or absolve Prince Andrew since he committed suicide in his prison cell last summer.

Prince Andrew said that he regrets his association with Epstein. He denied, however, that he ever participated in sexual misconduct. He said that he could not remember meeting the woman, a minor at that time, whom he supposedly assaulted.

Despite the backlash of the interview, reports stated that Queen Elizabeth gave her blessing for it. In fact, the whole interview took place in Buckingham Palace.
