Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, had to get an emergency cosmetic dentistry after he lost a tooth during a social event. This happened a few years back, while his wife Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was pregnant with their first child.
According to the Daily Mail, Prince William, along with his friends, were "tearing up the dance floor" at the wedding of their closest pals Tom van Straubenzee and Lady Melissa Percy in the north of London. While dancing, however, the Duke of Cambridge was accidentally hit on the face by another friend, Tom Inskip.
The report revealed that Prince William had to be rushed to the dentist to repair the damage to a significant portion of one of his front teeth. Experts worked on the duke before he flew home to London, where Kate was anticipating the birth of Prince George.
Prince William took the accident in stride and was good-natured about it. Instead of getting angry at his friend, the duke joked that it would be really funny if Kate had gone into labor, and he would have to smile in public with his missing tooth.
Expert dentist Matthew Rose confirmed that Prince William's teeth was restored through cosmetic dentistry. Speaking with Daily Express, the dentist said that Prince William's front teeth were similar in color and looked a bit uneven before the accident. Now, close up photos of Kate Middleton's husband will show that his upper right central incisor appears lighter and more aligned than before.
Meanwhile, Prince William was recently all smiles when his housekeeper was given the Royal Victorian Medal at Buckingham Palace. Antonella Fresolone was employed for the Cambridge family shortly after Prince George was born.
It was believed that she used to manage two houses when Prince William and Kate were also living in Anmer Hall in Norfolk, aside from Kensington. She is known for making Kensington like a five-star hotel.
Before managing the household at Kensington Palace, however, the housekeeper was one of Queen Elizabeth's senior housemaids in Buckingham Palace. She also loves the Cambridge children and always had presents for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis for their birthday.
The Royal Victorian Medal was first handed in 1986 under Queen Victoria's reign. It is given to royal staff members who serve with dedication. The medal has three levels, and Fresolone got the silver.
