Prince William doesn’t have the time to sit around and update his social media accounts. However, he always uses the platform to share something very important to him. The recent one is the Duke of Cambridge’s emotional tribute for his late mother, Princess Diana, that was posted on Instagram.
The official Kensington Palace Instagram page revealed that “The Duke of Cambridge hosted the inspirational #2019LegacyAwards recipients from the Diana Awards, for tea at Kensington Palace. The Diana Award is a continuation of Princess Diana’s legacy and her belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better.”
It’s no secret that Princess Diana was loved by many. The mother of Prince William and Prince Harry was even dubbed as the “People’s Princess” because the public was just in awe of her beauty and charisma.
Princess Diana passed away over two decades ago, but Prince William and Prince Harry always see to it that her legacy lives on. The royal brothers know how much impact their mother left to the public and they have been trying their best to follow her footsteps. The Duke of Cambridge and Sussex also want the young generation to be inspired to be the best version of themselves.
“Taking place every two years, the Legacy Awards celebrate the achievements of 20 outstanding young leaders, visionaries and role models from across the world, aged 12-25, who have demonstrated their ability to inspire and mobilize new generations to serve their communities,” the caption continued. “The Award recipients will have access to a two-year development program which will look to enhance leadership, community development, social entrepreneurship, and technology.”
Kensington Palace then shared that Prince William and Prince Harry both attended the ceremony in 2017, which marked the 20th year of Princess Diana’s passing. Clearly, the Princess of Wales still has a special place not only in the royal siblings’ hearts but to the whole monarchy as well.
Fans then left positive comments for Prince William on the post. “William seems to have such a pleasing personality! He reminds me so much of his mum… Princess Diana,” on royal fan wrote. “Diana would be so proud,” another one shared.
It is worth noting that a lot of fans also see Princess Diana in Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton. Many believe that the Duchess of Cambridge has the same charisma as the People’s Princess and that she is also beautiful inside and out.
