The recent unveiling of Tesla Cybertruck earned praises and criticisms, particularly on the part where it attempted to showcase its 'Armor Glass.' Aside from its unique and never-before-seen design, the failed demonstration of Tesla becomes the center of the fun, especially by auto enthusiasts, fans, and automakers in various social media outfits. Recently, BMW unveils the BMW X5 SUV, its latest bulletproof SUV, and it did not let the opportunity slip without taking a few snipes at Tesla Cybertruck.
On its official twitter account, BMW was subtle but lethal with the latest marketing campaign for the BMW X5 SUV. It implies that its latest bulletproof sport utility vehicle is designed to withstand attacks. It mainly says, 'in case it gets hit by a metal ball,' which has some reference to Tesla Cybertruck's failed 'Armor Glass' demo.

It can be recalled that during the unveiling of Tesla Cybertruck at Los Angeles last week, Elon Musk wanted to show that the electric pickup truck is bullet proof to some degree considering its Tesla Armor Glass and stainless steel body. The demo for the truck's body went well. However, it did not go as planned for the truck's window. When the truck was hit by a couple of steel balls thrown at its window, it ended up cracking. Musk was unconvinced and asked to throw the ball again, which ended up cracking the next Tesla Armor Glass window. Despite the failed demo, the Tesla CEO appeared to have a good explanation for the window issue of the Tesla Cybertruck. But, some are still poking fun at the failed demo. The Tesla Cybertruck and BMW X5 SUV are a couple of vehicles with only one thing in common: both claim to be bulletproof. Tesla Cybertruck is an all-electric pickup truck while the BMW X5 SUV is a premium-gasoline powered SUV. BMW and other car manufacturers need to take the Tesla Cybertruck seriously, according to Electrek.

The upcoming all-electric pickup truck from Tesla represents a strong statement about being bold enough to introduce radical designs to products that were previously limited to concept designs. Tesla is the only company brave enough to do this. Should the company becomes successful, the Tesla Cybertruck could alter the whole industry. And, when that happens, no one will care if the demo failed.
