Amid the attacks they get from the British tabloid press that fuel online haters, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have plenty of friends by their side. Some of these friends have actually spoken out and openly expressed their support for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
One of the first to speak out in support of Prince Harry and Meghan against the haters is legendary singer Sir Elton John, who is a close friend of Prince Harry's mother Princess Diana. He defended the Sussex couple after they were heavily criticized for their use of a private jet for their trip to France last August.
According to BBC, it was Sir Elton who offered his private jet to "maintain a high level of much-needed protection" when he invited the couple to his house in France. He said that the reports about this trip was distorted and maliciously played out in the media.
Daytime TV show host Ellen DeGeneres also wrote about her support for Prince Harry and Meghan on Twitter at the height of the private jet controversy. She said that the royals are attacked for everything that do when Prince Harry and Meghan are doing their best to try to make the world a better place.
Ellen has recently become a good friend of Prince Harry and Meghan. She was able to visit the couple at their home in Frogmore Cottage, where she met and fed baby Archie.
Pop singer P!nk also voiced out her support for Prince Harry and Meghan after they were besieged with one controversy after the other. In a post on Twitter, the award-winning singer said that the bullying of the Sussex royals is out of controland she encourages the public to be kinder and to show the children that being kind is cool.
Former U.S. First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is also behind Team Harry and Meghan. She said in an interview with The Sunday Times that she is specifically a fan of the Duchess of Sussex. She said that it's a shame if people are hating on her because she is biracial.
Singer James Blunt also spoke up in Good Morning Britain that the British tabloid press has been vitriolic against Prince Harry and Meghan. He personally knows Prince Harry and thinks he's a nice person who does plenty of good work for sports, veterans and children in Africa.
