It will still be a long wait for The Boys Season 2. However, production is finally over and the first teaser for the upcoming season has just been unleashed. Interestingly, the new trailer hints at what fans could look forward to in the second season and it looks like the gang will be separated as they try to evade the superheroes of Vought International. In addition to that, it looks like Billy Butcher will get another chance to go up against the evil Homelander.
In the Season 1 epic finale, Billy Butcher was ready to take on Homelander even without his companions. Butcher set off to kidnap Stillwell believing that the Vought International vice president is the superhero's only weakness. Unfortunately, the plan backfired when Homelander himself murdered Stillwell. As a last ditch effort, Butcher detonates the bomb that should have killed everyone in the house.
Amazingly, it is later revealed that Homelander actually saved Billy Butcher and flew him away to a mysterious house where Butcher's wife Becca has been raising the superhero's child. The episode ends abruptly, leaving people to wonder what Homelander's intentions are for bringing Butcher to the house. Could this mean that he is planning to kill Butcher ahead of the premiere of The Boys Season 2?
Luckily, the trailer for The Boys Season 2 confirms that Billy Butcher is alive and well and will be returning to continue to wage war on Homelander. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he will be reunited with Hughie, Mother's Milk, Frenchie, and the Female right away. Nevertheless, the teaser confirms there will be plenty of action as well as blood and gore in the upcoming season.
So far, there is not much information about The Boys Season 2. However, there is a possibility that Hughie, Mother's Milk, Frenchie, and the Female will continue to be on the run for a while. In addition to that, people are concerned about Billy Butcher's fate now that he is at Homelander's mercy. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that Starlight might eventually team up with Queen Maeve to go against Antony Starr's character.
The Boys Season 2 has not yet been given an official premiere date although production has already been completed and the episode titles have been revealed. Nevertheless, people are already expecting the series to return on Amazon Prime in Summer 2020.
