NCIS season 17 episode 10 is coming on CBS next week, titled "The North Pole." This episode will serve as the midseason finale, and also marks the return of Cote de Pablo's Ziva David. The character already appeared earlier this season, and she's now back for the "one thing" she needs to take care of before going back to her family.
In NCIS season 17 episode 10, Gibbs and the rest of the team will help Ziva on her mission. It seems like the one thing she needs to take care of has something to do with the people who are after her earlier this season. The promo of the upcoming episode also hints that all of them are facing a dangerous consequence due to this mission.
In the clip, Gibbs told Sloane that he wanted to do everything he can just to help Ziva. The promo then showed action-packed situations, hinting that her mission is bigger than expected. It's obvious that Ziva has to deal with different problems. Also, the teaser showed someone is in handcuffs, and it's possible that Ziva is trying to rescue this person.
The mission proved to be dangerous as series star Diona Reasonover (as forensic scientist Kasie) teased that NCIS season 17 episode 10 will feature a "life or death situation." In a report via TV Insider, the actress said Ziva and the team should put the case in front and center since one of them will probably die if they don't do it. She also revealed that her character and Ziva would have a particular scene.
But, aside from this dangerous mission, the upcoming episode will also see Ziva reuniting with and Jimmy Palmer. These two had a close relationship in the past, so it's nice to see them spending some time together. Additionally, it will also feature a holiday storyline, considering the title is "The North Pole." The episode would deliver a holiday feel, especially since it's the last one this year.
There were also speculations that Ziva and Michael Weatherly's character, Tony DiNozzo, will reunite in the upcoming episode. These two had a complicated relationship before, and they shared a child. When de Pablo's character appeared earlier this season, Gibbs asked her if Tony knew she's alive, and then she just replied, "will in time."
NCIS season 17 episode 10 will arrive on Tuesday, Dec. 17, on CBS Television Network.
