Rockstar Games has already released "Red Dead Redemption 2" on PC and Google Stadia, which means it can now focus on the development of "GTA 6." The next installment to the popular "Grand Theft Auto" series is one of the heavily rumored topics even if Rockstar has not confirmed its existence yet. The latest is the claim on the release window and game console exclusivity of "GTA 6."

The latest claim about "GTA 6" comes from an alleged Rockstar Games tester. The leaker claims to be working on the much-awaited installment to the popular "Grand Theft Auto" series and shares some details about it. The information was on the Pastebin and was discovered by the Dutch website TechTastic.

Based on the details shared by the Dutch site, "GTA 6" will be released in the late part of 2020 or in the early part of 2021. Additionally, the game will be released as an exclusive title to next-generation gaming consoles; PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett. Surprisingly, the leak claims that the sixth iteration to the successful "Grand Theft Auto" series will feature 8K upscaling with ray tracing.

The 8K upscaling could be an optional feature, but it is highly unlikely that PlayStation 5 or Xbox Scarlett will output 8K visual at launch even if they very capable of doing it. With only a handful of 8K TVs out there, the majority of the gamers will not really appreciate this feature, if it is true. Ray tracing is possible, but 8K is too premature.

The Pastebin document also reveals that "GTA 6" will happen in four locations. These are San Andreas, Liberty City, a region in Vice City, and the Midwest. Earlier, several "GTA" fans were hyped when Rockstar Games released the teaser of Casino Heist and in a moment, seemed to highlight South America. Some fans speculated that it could be an Easter egg or a hint on one of the locations of "GTA 6."

While the details revealed in the Pastebin document seem interesting, we have no way of verifying the veracity of these claims. Additionally, we do not know the identity of the leaker hiding under an anonymous user name and profile. Just like any other leaks, we recommend taking these details with skepticism and with a pinch of salt.

At the time of this publishing, Rockstar Games has not released any statement related to "GTA 6." So, we can never really tell if the much-awaited title is really in the works or if the game developer already scrapped it. Until then, we will keep you posted as soon as we hear anything interesting related to the game.
