The finale of Game of Thrones has been very hard and difficult, especially for avid fans and viewers. However, it has become a lot tougher for Kit Harrington, who played the role of Jon Snow. As it happened, he felt "lost" after ending the iconic HBO series for good.
For eight years, this was the actor's life as per reports. It was his first acting project, which made total sense as to why the show has been very significant for Kit.
Seeing the show in its ending, Kit did not know what to do after. Despite the numerous offers of projects, it was revealed that he did not have the energy as he cannot move forward from Game of Thrones.
According to E! News, Kit Harrington entered a "wellness retreat" center in Connecticut. For about a month, the actor was said to stay here in order for him to recover mentally and emotionally.
As revealed, he underwent several "psychological coaching," cognitive behavioral therapy, and "mindful meditation." All of these practices were designed for him to "combat stress" and manage "negative emotions."
No confirmations were made, however, when the actor was released from the facility. But, recent reports have been claiming that he has now "found peace."
In a scoop made by Gossip Cop, Kit Harrington, along with his wife, Rose Leslie, who also starred in Game of Thrones, kept a "low profile" after emerging from the wellness center. They "hunkered" down in London and stayed out of the spotlight, a source revealed.
Earlier this week, the couple was "photographed" together as they headed to a charity event. So, it seemed like all is now well for the English actor.
But, aside from engaging now in various public events, Kit also made a statement about his condition. This comes after the nomination he received from Golden Globes for playing the role of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones.
In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kit Harrington seemingly hinted that the nomination "brought closure" to him. He also described it as a "lovely way" to say goodbye to his character and the show. "In my book, it is perfect," he added.
Currently, he is working on a new project with Marvel for the upcoming film, The Eternals. It was revealed that he is set to play role of Black Knight alongside Angelina Jolie. While no exact date yet has been revealed for the film's release, reports shared that it would likely hit the big screens on November 2020.
