Outlander season 5 will premiere on Starz within a few months and the series keeps on sharing details about what to expect, making fans even more excited. It's interesting to see what will happen next to the lead characters, Jamie and Claire. Will the couple face more hardship this time?
In Outlander season 5, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) finds himself in a difficult position since he needs to hunt down his godfather, Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix). Aside from that, he also needs to protect his family, as well as his tenants, who are all living in his estate.
The upcoming installment will see Jamie carrying a heavy burden on his shoulder and his family will be tested as well. In a previous interview with TV Insider, Heughan teased that one of the major problems of his character is that he's on the wrong side in the new season.
The actor said Jamie wants to protect his land, family, and tenants, but it will certainly put him on the "wrong side." Meanwhile, during the New York Comic-Con, Caitriona Balfe talked about her character, Claire, and Jamie's romance in Outlander season 5.
She said the couple supports each other through rough times and they know what's going on inside of each other, which is a beautiful thing. When it comes to their changing relationship, Balfe said Claire and Jamie's relationship keeps on growing and deepening.
However, the trailer of Outlander season 5 hints things wouldn't be easy for Jamie, Claire, and the rest of the family. Claire, in particular, felt guilty about Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and Roger (Richard Rankin), who traveled back in time just to find her.
Claire wants Brianna to come back to the future since she'll be safer there, while Roger is also struggling with manual labor. In addition, it looks like other dangers are waiting for the Frasers, especially since the political tensions between the colonists and the British parliament have escalated.
In another report, the Outlander panel will be coming to the PaleyFest LA 2020, which is on Thursday, March 19. It was confirmed that the cast will be present at the mentioned event, and it will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
For those who wanted to attend, pre-sale tickets are available for Fellow, Paley Patron, Citi cardmembers, and other supporting members starting Jan. 14 to 15, while tickets go on sales for everyone on Jan. 17. The event is not just for Outlander, but all other different panels as well.
