Samsung has already released its first smartphone with a foldable design, the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Following the release of its unique phone with a groundbreaking design, rumors about its next iteration started to pop up online. Many leaks and speculations surround the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, but the most recent leak unveils several 'real-life' images of the next generation foldable smartphone from the South Korean tech and electronics titan.
One of the most consistent and reliable gadget tipster Ice Universe is back once again, sharing new details about Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. However, this time the tipster does not share any specs or features of the next generation foldable smartphone from Samsung. Instead, Ice Universe shares a set of images showing Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
These images of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 highlight that Samsung would no longer keep the slab-like design of the present generation foldable smartphone, which opens and closed like that of a book. It appears that Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 would feature a folding phone similar to that of Motorola Razr, with a clamshell-like design. Additionally, the upcoming foldable device has a simpler design.
At the back, Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 features a camera pod for a couple of cameras along with a single LED flash. There is also a prominent monochrome display, which appears to show the battery percentage, time, and date. Interestingly, the cover display of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, as seen on the images, appears to be a lot smaller compared to the one we saw in the Samsung Galaxy Fold.

In front, there is the display in portrait orientation that uses a horizontal hinge for opening and folding purposes. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 seems to have thick bezels along with a selfie camera concealed by the hole punch cutout. This is all that we can infer about the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 based on the real-life images shared by the tipster.
Earlier reports claimed that the South Korean tech and electronics giant plans to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 at an event in San Francisco on Feb. 18, 2020. The said event will also launch the next flagship smartphone series from the company, the Samsung Galaxy S11. We still do not know how much would be the retail price of Samsung Galaxy Fold 2.
However, its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy Fold, is now available at $2000. It is worth mentioning that although the images seem authentic and the tipster has always provided us with accurate information, these images are not official.
