Red Velvet rang in the holidays with a bang as the group's new song, Psycho, hit the first real-time all kill for any girl group this 2019. Irene, Seulgi, Yeri, Joy, and Wendy also dominated the US iTunes chart with their new comeback EP.

According to a report by All Kpop, Red Velvet members achieved the milestone of topping Melon, Genie, Bugs, Soribada and FLO simultaneously, in real-time, for their final comeback of the year.

It can be recalled that Red Velvet released its video for Psycho on December 23. The song was the title track of the ReVe Festival Finale.

According to a report by NME, Red Velvet shared the gothic video for their song Psycho and managed to boggle the minds of fans with its eerie and ethereal approach. While fans were mesmerized by the dark vibe of the MV, they were also captivated by the beauty of the members, especially Irene, who dominated Twitter trends worldwide when her teaser image was released by SM Entertainment.

It can be recalled that The ReVe Festival Day 1, released in June, and The ReVe Festival Day 2, released in August, were both met with commercial and critical success. Concepts for both EPs showed different sides to Red Velvet members Irene, Seulgi, Yeri, Joy, and Wendy.

The ReVe Festival  Day 1 showed a surreal carnival vibe for the Zimzalabim MV. In the ReVe Festival Day 2, the girls were featured in a summertime road trip concept with the dance hit Umpah Umpah.

For The ReVe Finale, Psycho employed a darker and edgier vibe that was such a departure from the first two comebacks that fans talked about the teasers endlessly on social media. To make the album stand out even more, the ReVe Finale consolidated all 16 tracks from the three comebacks into one single album.

Apart from the Real-Time All Kill from local music charts, Red Velvet also managed to top the US iTunes chart with the EP. With the achievement, Red Velvet became only the third group in the history of the chart to score a Number 1 in the US iTunes chart more than once a year. They were also the first Kpop act to do so. Other groups who managed to achieve the feat were Destiny's Child and the Pussycat Dolls.

In addition to Red Velvet's trilogy of comebacks this year, they also featured on the soundtrack of IU's hit series, Hotel del Luna, with the song, Better than any Star.
