J-Hope was not a huge fan of doing aegyo (“refers to a cute display of affection often expressed including but not limited to through a cute/baby voice, facial expressions, and gestures,” as per Wikipedia). However, when the BTS star realized that every time he does aegyo, it makes the fans happy, so he kept doing it.
With that said, J-Hope usually does a cute voice, especially when he’s trying to make ARMYs burst into UWUs. But recently, J-Hope surprised the whole fandom with his deep voice and no one was ready for it.
On Bon Voyage Season 4 Episode 6, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were still enjoying another camping day in New Zealand. Just like the previous night, the BTS boys had to sleep in the camper van, tent, and even inside the car.
Jin couldn’t handle the cold weather, so he decided to sleep in the car, where he used the heater feature. Suga and Jimin slept at the tent. RM and V took the bottom bed of the camper van, while J-Hope and Jungkook slept at the upper bunk in the separate corner.
The next morning, all the BTS members woke up one by one. J-Hope dragged himself out of bed. And since the sun was directly beaming on his face, the BTS star said, “JK, my face was cooking in the sunlight.” And that’s when ARMYs heard the tone that they have never heard before. Many commented on how deep and sexy J-Hope’s morning voice was. “Can we talk about his voice after he just woke up?” one fan wrote on Twitter. “He looks and sounds DAMN fine though. Wow, Hoseok. This messy, sleepy look and his voice make me feel some kind of way,” another one commented.
Although J-Hope’s speaking and singing voice sometimes show off his deeper vocals, it’s nowhere near deep his morning voice that it caught a lot of ARMYs off guard. But this is certainly not the first time the BTS star shocked the fans.
Lucky ARMYs who got the chance to see BTS face to face shared that J-Hope looks unreal in person. Many are actually very disappointed that the cameras couldn’t capture his good looks.
“We need to destroy all the existing cameras in this world, why can't they capture his handsomeness perfectly,” one ARMY wrote. “When I first saw BTS, I didn't have any high expectations for Jhope. But he looked so freaking gorgeous, which took me by surprise, and led me to the fandom. I think these pictures are only 1/10 of how he actually looks like in person.”
