"Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is one of the highly anticipated releases of 2020, and fans have been itching to get their hands on the title since it was first leaked online. Square Enix earlier announced that the game is coming in March 2020. But, a recent leak reveals that ahead of its official release, the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" demo might be headed to PSN.
Yesterday, Gamstat, which monitors the PlayStation Network API and every detail added to it, discovered a listing of a "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" demo on the PlayStation Store. While there is no listing on the store itself, there is a great chance that relevant files were added to PSN as a way to prepare for the imminent launch of the demo. Gamstat also reported that along with "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," the "Patapon 2 Remastered" demo was also listed.
At the moment of this publishing, no official word about the demo was said by either Square Enix or PlayStation. But, this could soon change as the listing could confirm both titles are set to arrive soon. As to what the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" demo could be, it is likely the same to the demo we earlier saw at the E3 2019.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time that Gamstat shared leaked information. The team also leaked "Resident Evil 3" ahead of its official reveal. So, perhaps, the "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" demo on PSN is something to watch out for. However, this is not a piece of official information released by PlayStation or Square Enix. Considering that this is just a leak, we recommend taking this with a pinch of salt and with skepticism. If the game developer does not have any plans to release a free demo of "Final Fantasy 7 Remake," it would not pop up on the PlayStation Store at all. "Final Fantasy 7 Remake" is scheduled for PlayStation 4 and will arrive on Mar. 20, 2020.
