One of the many things that President Donald Trump loves about his wife Melania Trump is her ability to speak in public. Though the former model and full-time mom is not a public speaker, her husband thinks that she is amazing when she talks in front of a crowd.

During an interview for ABC News just right before Trump won the presidency, he said that Melania is ready to make big speeches and that the public should anticipate when she gets up on the stage. He told the host George Stephanopoulos that public speaking is not something Melania does but she can be "very, very successful" at it.

Melania wasn't a prominent fixture during Trump's presidential campaign though and it was a matter of choice for the current First Lady. She said that her priority has always been her son with the president, Barron Trump, who was only 10 when his father won the seat to the most important job in America.

Meanwhile, the Trumps are currently spending their Christmas holiday in Palm Beach, Florida. According to reports, the president gave his wife a beautiful Christmas card as his present. He said that he didn't have time to shop for an actual gift since he has been busy working even during the holiday season.

When Melania celebrated her birthday in April, President Trump also gave her a card. He told Fox & Friends that he did not have time "running out looking for presents" for his wife but he later said that he also gave her flowers.

It probably did not matter to Melania that she didn't get a Christmas gift from her husband. The First Lady's family didn't actually celebrate the Christmas holidays while growing up in Slovenia, according to the book "Inside Trump's White House."

It was only when she moved to the United States that Melania experienced how lavish Christmas celebrations are done. Then, as First Lady, Melania has been behind the Christmas decorations at the White House.

In early December, Melania unveiled this year's Christmas theme as "The Spirit of America." She combined the glitter and joy of Christmas with patriotism to honor the people who have shaped the United States.

An 18 feet White House Christmas tree is the highlight of this year's decoration. Standing at the Grand Foyer, this tree is adorned with handmade paper flowers to represent all of the 50 states.

Another Christmas tree also stands in the East Wing of the White House with golden stars and red bows while the Red Room is decorated like a Christmas game room for the children. The State Dining Room, on the other hand, features a gingerbread White House replica, as well as replicas of the Statue of Liberty and the Golden Gate.
