Jungkook officially nabbed the top spot of “The Most Handsome Faces of 2019.” For five months, fans got the chance to vote for their favorite celebrities, and the BTS star was recently named as the winner.

While nobody would argue with the result (except maybe for “Worldwide Handsome Jin, who’s in the 44th place), this title may mean a lot more to Jungkook than plain vanity. You see, the golden maknae also had some insecurities like everyone else. What made his situation even more unfortunate is the fact that he had to deal with a major issue in front of fans and critics.

Jungkook looks flawless to ARMYs eyes, but he was struggling with acne and acne scars before that led him to lose self-confidence. In fact, when BTS was asked about their skincare routine in an earlier interview, Jungkook said: “I get pimples sometimes, and it’s very stressful.”

J-Hope’s response perfectly explained why Jungkook is stressing out when he gets pimples. “Taking good care of your skin is the number one rule for all celebs. I get to meet a lot of fans face-to-face at fan meetings and similar events, and I’d like to look my best for them,” the 25-year-old rapper, songwriter, dancer, and record producer shared.

Some ARMYs who had the chance to meet BTS in person commented that Jungkook’s skin problems become visible when his makeup melts during their performances. Being an idol, Jungkook’s skin may have become more sensitive because of all the thick make-ups that they have to put on during tours, appearances, promotions, etc.

Luckily, Jungkook found a natural way to solve his skin issues. Some of the BTS boys revealed that the golden maknae was always bringing vinegar with him. The 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and record producer then explained that he washed his face with water and added a few drops of vinegar to clear his skin.

It is worth noting that Jungkook was using apple cider vinegar for his skincare and not some ordinary vinegar. ACV is known for preventing acne and pimples, which Jungkook was suffering from.

It should also be pointed out that all the BTS members certainly do skin treatments, facials, and other beauty regimens. J-Hope even shared that he goes to the derma every time he gets the chance. So although Jungkook attests to the effectiveness of ACV, he's definitely receiving other treatments from professionals as well.
