Paul Pogba is proving he is a hot item as far as giant clubs in the European leagues are concerned. Apart from Real Madrid, the Manchester United superstar is linked as well with a transfer possibility to Inter Milan, likely in exchange for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.

Despite the repeated declarations from United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Pogba seems bent on joining up a new club if not this January, then possibly by the end of the season.

The Daily Mail said an exit from Old Trafford appears to be a foregone conclusion for the World Cup winner and it's only a matter of when the move out is happening. And when the transfer finally plays out, Inter is fast shaping up as another destination for the star midfielder.

Should Pogba one day turn up at the San Siro, he would be working again with Antonio Conte, the same manager who was in charge of Juventus during Pogba's spell with the Serie A team.

Per the same report, a bid from Inter for Pogba will be met by a demand from Old Trafford. The Italian club will be required to include on their offer the 22-year-old rising star from Argentina, who reportedly has been noticed by Manchester City and Barcelona.

On the part of United, Martinez certainly piques the interest of the club board with Ed Woodward himself, making known that a deal on the young striker would be a welcome development.

According to Metro, United would be ready to start a negotiation if Inter continues on its reported pursuit of Pogba. The English club, however, has made clear that talks on the matter will hinge on the inclusion of the Argentina international to the offer package for the World Cup winner.

An agreement on Pogba will require the acquiring party to pay up no less than £150 million, the estimated value attached by the Red Devils on the Frenchman. Inter, on the other hand, will be asking £80 million for clubs wanting to sign Martinez.

It's quite obvious a United-Inter swapping deal involving Pogba and Martinez is doable with United still earning while acquiring a suitable replacement for the loss of the French striker.

It has been suggested that moving to Inter is now a scenario that Pogba's camp is ready to embrace and understandably so because, for one, he will soon be reunited with Conte. While Real Madrid has reportedly offered deals that United may just find irresistible, Pogba is said to be now favoring a move back to Italy.

Meanwhile, amid the transfer speculations on Pogba, Solskjaer has insisted that United will not be parting ways with the player anytime soon.

"You won't see him go in January. It's always the same, speculation with players in and out. We're looking forward to getting Paul back on to the pitch with us," the Norwegian head coach was reported as saying.
