BTS just dropped its first comeback trailer for Map Of The Soul: 7 called “Interlude: Shadow” featuring Suga. And just like any other music videos of the Big Hit Entertainment boy group, it has a lot of easter eggs in it.
ARMYs claimed that there are a lot of hints in Suga’s “Interlude: Shadow” comeback trailer. While most of the easter eggs appeared to be linked to their previous videos, one of the scenes seemingly hints that J-Hope is next.
Eagle-eyed ARMYs saw a connection between Suga’s “Interlude: Shadow” comeback trailer and one of J-Hope’s scenes in BTS “Fake Love.” The scene from the recent trailer showed a couple of hooded people banging on a door, forcing themselves to enter the room. ARMYs who have been living and breathing BTS videos then realized that it looked familiar.
In BTS “Fake Love,” J-Hope will be seen holding the door from the inside, trying his hardest to not let whoever on the other side in — this is when the ARMYs’ lightbulbs were switched on. Could it be that the hooded people in Suga’s “Interlude: Shadow” comeback trailer were outside J-Hope’s door in “Fake Love”?
Getting inspiration from Suga’s “Interlude: Shadow” comeback trailer and BTS “Fake Love,” someone created a four-second clip that combined the door scenes. The result is so real that it looked like an actual scene from the recent video. With that said, many believed that it was a hint that J-Hope is the next member to be featured.
Meanwhile, Big Hit recently shared the comeback map for Map Of The Soul: 7, revealing the detailed plans from Phase 01 to Phase 04. Phase 02 showed that the next comeback trailer called “Ego” will be released on February 3. Will it feature J-Hope? Many believe so.
But since the “Interlude: Shadow” comeback trailer represents BTS’ “Rap Line,” there is a chance that “Ego” will come from the “Vocal Line,” and many are convinced that it would feature Jungkook. For now, it is still quite early to tell if these fan theories are true.
However, it is worth noting that ARMYs have cracked the code numerous times before. They even predicted that BTS’s next album would have something to do with Carl Jung‘s “shadow” and “ego” archetypes — they were not wrong.
So is it J-Hope or Jungkook next? We’ll just have to find out on February 3.
